June Already?

It is only June 9th and so much has happened this month already!

June 1st: Violet's tooth came in! After several rough nights and fussy days, the front bottom-left tooth finally popped through. Dan's dad was also set apart as a bishop for a BYU ward.

June 2nd: Violet pulled herself up into a standing position. She loves to stand, and now she can get up herself as long as she has something to grab onto. It is kind of scary for me to watch her, but she seems so proud of herself when she does :).

June 4th: My little brother, Daniel, got his mission call! We had Aunt Melodee scan it in and email it to him since he is working in California, and he didn't want any of US to see it before he did :). He is called to serve in the Columbus, Ohio mission (teaching in English). He leaves September 10th, right after we leave to Chicago. I guess he'll only be like five hours away from us or something :).

June 5th - 8th: Dan and I went and stayed with my cousin Liz Fee's three youngest children while she and her husband took their three oldest kids to Havasupi (sp?). It was pretty crazy going from parents of one to parents of four, but it was a great learning experience. We had some pretty crazy adventures taking them all to Chuck E. Cheese's and Carl's Jr. Playland. After Sacrament meeting on Sunday chasing after kids 8, 4, and 2 years old, plus Violet, Dan was pretty worn out (what with the poopy diapers, the cheerios everywhere, and the quarreling kids). He told me that we're only having two kids. We'll see I guess :).

June 7th: Violet crawled! No more just pulling herself forward with her elbows--she actually used her legs and arms at the same time, synchronized! We are excited for her and love watching her inch along.

Here's our most recent family picture, courtesy of Chuck E. Cheese himself:

  2. You three are such a cute little family! I'm sad you are going to move so far away! At least we can keep posted through our blogs :) Congrats to Violet - she's learning so fast! Have fun baby-proofing!
